"Lee’s Ferry was the only crossing-point on the Colorado River for hundreds of miles for the early settlers migrating into northern Arizona from Utah. The shore road is still visible on the far bank and the Vermillion Cliffs sandstone formation rises in the distance. Lee’s Ferry is one of only two locations on the Colorado River accessible by vehicle between Lake Powell and Lake Mead. It is the major launch-point for float trips navigating the Grand Canyon." Rick Ferens, 2005. Negative #86_9
